After dreaming of owning a Cougar since I was 11, 10 years later I am now the proud owner of a C2, 51 plate 2.5 and so far so good, a very cheap way to get a lot of power and toys

If anyone's got any history on my car, YG51 FHZ that would be fabulous and any hints, tips, things to watch out for, there does seem to be quite a lot of noise from the rear, a roaring sound when above 30, wheel bearings perhaps? Not sure

Hiya mate not too far away from me if you fancy meeting up sometime. Mine was a bit like that when I got it, turned out to be one tyre which had worn so unevenly it had gone out of shape - no obvious suspension problems so I think it was just a bad 'un - might be worth checking though:)

Welcome fellow C2 owner, your in the best place to learn about the Cougar and all that goes with owning one, there is a huge amount of know how here from members that have been there and done it.

You do, full body kit and spoiler, afraid I can't work out how to get photos on the forum in posts

Thanks, I'll get the tyres checked out, have fully inflated them as its been sat since April/May time but that didn't help

Thanks, have booked it into Halfords tomorrow for a free check, it wouldn't surprise me if there are flat spots as well being such a heavy car sat in a forecourt for ages

As long as that "free check" doesn't turn into "work you must have done right now otherwise we can't let you drive home".

Welcome, sir, to the club. We work hard, we play hard, and we never let a friend swing in the breeze.
