Hi All,
I picked up my (new to me) Cougar yesterday. The cam belt on my old car went last week and wasn't worth repairing and I need a car to get to and from work. Initially I was looking at small cars and then, I fell in love....

Hello and welcome aboard. Shame that you now have speed limits over there, otherwise you could have really opened up your Coug. I was planning on coming over to IOM sometime in my coug, but now I know about the new speed limits imposed, don't think I'll bother lol!!!

There are still plenty of derestricted areas, such as the Mountain Road. The majority of the speed limits are around built up areas. There are still plenty of places to have fun, unless you get stuck behind someone going slow with stuff coming the other way.

Thanks guys. Drove into work over the (derestricted) Mountain Road. Just a shame it was icy and a fair amount of traffic...

I have a (possibly) daft question. How do you know if you've got the X? Is it because you've got the bits - heated front seats or is there an X somewhere on the car? Thanks

if you've got leather etc, there is no X on the car, you are the X factor to be honest!!!
