Hi peter
Is that your cougar in your avatar?
Bit of a paintjob going on there, shouldn't be much problem spotting you if it is. lol

Thanks Quicksilver
I am working on the Saturday but might be able to get the day(morning) off, but I noticed the payments were wanted by the 25th Feb, is that still the closing date or do I have some time to see if i can make it.
Cheers

Maurice, I live local to Castle Combe Circuit so can pick tickets up at any time. You'd be more than welcome.
Andy.

Thanks Andy
I just need to check to make sure I can get the time off and will let you know, either way, soon as possible.

Peter, I don't get down to Barry much these days but looking at that cat it would be worth the trip I think.

Thanks Andy

Well if you ever want a mini meet up let me know. I am sure you know Barry Island. Could meet over there.

Maurice and Peter - you haven't got your names down for the Bath meet after Castle Combe. ;););)

It's on Sunday April 10 meeting at 11.00am. Would be a perfect opportunity for you to meet some other members and sticky beak around their cats!!

http://www.ukcougarforum.com/vb/sho...April-10-following-on-from-Castle-Combe-event

This would be a pretty local meet for you both as many meets are further up in the midlands and the north. Really suggest you give it some serious consideration!! Would be great to meet you both.

Please post on the above thread even if you are only a possible at this stage.

Cheers, Viv

Well my MOT is due around that time so I think it is not possible for me really but we will see.

Think positive about the MOT Peter. I worked wonders for me - just had mine and a clean bill of health. Yaay! (y)(y)

I am not to worried about it but i think it falls on that weekend + I work Mon - Fri so the weekend is the only time I get to do stuff like MOT's and things. I will see what I can do, it would be good to meet other people in the club but I am also very very shy and I will not approach anyone. I do not like mixing with people I do not know, I like to know someone first and trust them. I know it does not help with the car the way it is, always getting asked lots about it but that is the game we are in lol !!!

We all feel a bit strange and probably more than a bit worried the first time you go to a meet. I was, especially being female and a complete dunce when it comes to what is under the bonnet! I needn't have worried, I was made most welcome - and that is what is special about this club. You make good friends here.

Now 6 years later I have got to know quite a few members and I have found them to be a great lot, very friendly, most helpful and always willing to give you advice. And I have to say that the friendships I have made here was part of my decision to keep the cat when recently I had thoughts about changing it. I would have missed the club and its members.

Yes I know what you are saying and I do agree with you but the problem is I just don't like mixing with people I do not know. I have always had this problem all my life and I am happy that way. I am not rude at all and if spoken to I will answer but I will not go out of my way to make conversation with anyone. I just never feel the need to. If I did come I would be with my children so that might make it easier as they have no problem chatting with people. I would really like to make it to this meet as it is close enough for me, I checked google earth and it is straight down the M4 then off at A46. I will have a chat to the wife and see what she says in the morning.

Hello one and all.
Well i picked up the cat today and have one or two issues that look like they need sorting.
on the way back it juddered really badly after going a few miles at about 85, had to drop it back down to 50 and it seemed to settle, after a few miles of that I took it back to around 70-75 and didn't get the judder back.
Also need to rehang the drivers door as its out a bit.
So if I can sort out those problems I might be good for the Bath meet as thats on the Sunday I believe.

The judder could be wheel ballancing or a sticky brake pad, not to much to worry about, check all the wheel nuts as well just incase. As for the door, you will need 2 people to help you with that one but easy enough.

Hi peter
How do you mean, a "sticky brake pad" do I just replace them?
You can now see that I know not so much about cars, but hey, willing to learn.
If its either that you have mentioned then its not so bad, I did hear other bad things can cause juddering though, was right through the car and i still had about 100 miles to go, i was a little concerned i can tell you. lol

Well I am sure the car is fine seen as you bought it off a member in here. Could also be warped discs as well. I am sure if you are ok with a few spanners then it is an easy fix. The easy way to find out if it is a sticky pad or pads is to jack the car up on each corner and spin the wheel, if it spins free then no problem. Check the alloys to see if any of them has thrown the balancing weights, if they are missing then that is what it could be as well.

It will be really good if you can come Maurice and you will pick up heaps of tips from other members whilst you are there. You will be made most welcome.

Did you get the V6 or the Zetec and what colour is it?

WELCOME TO CATLAND!!!!!! :):):)

Thanks Peter, will give that a go.
The very reason I bought it off here from a member was I felt more secure in doing so, hopefully its something simple as you've suggested, by the way, if it's nice next Sunday I'm thinking of taking a run down Barry way.

Hi Aussiecat
Got myself a lovely Black one, it had to be an ebony this time around as I have something in mind for it.
Hopefully I will get down to the Bath one, just a few things to sort out, If I can I will put my name down within the next few days.
I'm guessing you will be going, if so it will be nice to meet you.
