new oil thread

okay folks, i heeded the warning about the oil in ASDA, so i went to MOTORWORLD and they had Carlube 5w30 ford spec semi synthetic oil for £25 for 5 litres with 1 litre free when you buy the 5 litres, that's enough for an oil change and it is the FORD SPEC exactly so i bought some. i have a watching on the service kit from Paynes ford,(http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320418267797?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_2583wt_730

but do i really need the fuel filter in the kit, it is cheaper to get them as seperate items from them and they can charge 1 lot of postage, should i get the fuel filter or not, cheers guys,

Didn't asda have their own semi synthetic oil in stock? I believe that it around £16.00 for 5 litres.

if you can or know someone who can get you discount at ford 6 litres of ford oil is only about £20

Fuel filter is worth changing especially if you dont know when it was last done..its a 5 minuite job.
