hi all thought I would say hello I've picked up a new cougar last week, had one in 2000 when they first come out it was ebony however my new one is silver, still prefer black but really like the silver too
just glad to have one back and forgot how good they are
had probes for the last few years as my second non family car but really missed the cougar since my last one
funny enough my old teal mist probe just finished yesterday on ebay the person I sold it too re sold it was so tempted but sticking to the cougar now
Picked my cougar up from a friend with mot till sep and tax he just wanted to let it go and I was glad to take it ;-)) it's really tidy and with 84k and its an x pack still all original and drives as well as I remember my last one did with 7k on the clock

just wondering if I could ask where would I get a cougar head badge for the back and also some mats with cougar heads on if they are still available, can only find the original ford mats from eBay and on ford parts uk
Also is it easy to put in a mondeo mk3 battery cover think it will tidy the engine bay

Glad to be in this new club ;-)) will post pics later as just changing brakes all round this weekend as it had been standing and safety first
also have speakers sub and new head unit to go in next
then it's cleaning time

regards Jason

Hi Jason and Welcome!
I have a Mondeo battery cover in mine and it does tidy the engine bay up nicely, they don't quite drop in however.

Mine:

There's a couple of plastic strips the battery sits on that need removing or it sits too high, then the actual box needs notching out closest to the engine for it to clear the hoses.

Still I really like it and its just the kind of subtle modding I like best!

thanx everybody gonna be paid up member shortly once I've had chance tomorrow,
done the discs and pads all round today all cleaned under and also cleaned and sanded all the calipers and carriers and sprayed silver looks tidy behind the wheels now
thank for the info on the battery box ordered mine of eBay now so will report back once I've done it
just want to get the badge for the rear as my ford one is missing but i prefer the cougar one if anyone has one I'd be willing to buy
also if anyone is selling the cougar head grille ;-))

Also looked today thankfully no rust in the floor pans or the sills or wings so just going to fully clean and waxoyl underneath in the next couple of weeks

Will update with pics by next week

be interesting to see if anyone knows the history of my car the reg which was on it when I got it is y526 lbu

All I can say for certain is that if a previous owner was a member here, they didn't share their reg number with our register.

Welcome to the forum though! (y)

I want the one on the left i think the cougar head looks brilliant and its not at all cause I loved thunder cats ;-))
would you have one for sale by any chance
