Just like to say high to everyone this is my first time on this site infact this is my first time on a forum of any kind . iv,e just bought a cougar 2.5 manual with x-pack 67 on the clock in silver i am picking it up in a few days so no pictures yet. i thought i would introduce myself and see if i could pick up any advice on cougar ownership because i dont know a deal about them ive got a focus which was my car until the wife past her test 3 years ago and she claimed it since then ive been messing about with nissans and hondas (old ones ) im still driving about in a L reg civic EG4 until i pick up the cougar.I wasn't even looking for another car until i was driving past a local car lot and i saw the cougar and fell for it straight away and bought it there and then not even sure if it will fit in the garage so any advice would be appreciated also any info about local (sheffield)meets would be great cheers ROB.

Hello and welcome aboard Rob. Really the main thing is too check whether the front wishbones have been done, as these can be expensive to replace and a pain in the bum job to do as well. There are other things to also look out for too, which I'm sure the others will advise you on. The cougar is a very good car and providing the previous owner has looked after it and it's got a full service history (or part service history) then you should be fine. Once you've bought it, then get some pic's up. Cheers, Tim

Hi Rob, welcome to the club, get some pics posted when you pick her up and get subscribed

You will save a fortune in garage fees but spend ten times as much modding
