well have signed up for membership.....now to slowly do little bits to the car .....any cheap and easy tricks?

First of all a full service, check your spark plugs replace if necessary with Motorcraft ones then fluids and filters
has had service not long back ..and oil nice and clean.....2 0wners and full stamped history ...so will keep on top of it.....

I don't have a front strut-brace on my Cougar yet so can't offer an opinion there*, but the rear one completely changes the car. Everything holds together and the back end feels involved instead of being dragged around every corner. If you do nothing else, get one of these. Mine's a "fixed" one but given the advantages of the Coug's collosal boot, you'd probably be better off getting a removable one.

*I've had front ones on smaller hatchbacks though and they were definitely worthwhile. I can't see that the Coug is any different given that it's a big monocoque.
