Those nice chaps in the RAF built me a box out of 20mm Birch ply to the dims I gave them.

This is the raw product

Then I indulged in some sillyness :d

Then I found a cougar head in my box of stuff. can you spot it?

I'm happy. And it's still loud even though the box isn't 'optimal'

And I can now get Isobels pushchair in :D

But did you ever have the little tail to hang from your filler cap Al?

Yes i did get one of the little tails, but i wasn't driving cars at that time, i only had a chopper to hang it on ..........Raleigh Chopper! :)

stripped it all off today. gone for something a little more subtle.
i got the esso reference ;)
does that make me an OF?

'fraid so mate

Just a little update.
I've been securing it today. It doesn't move around much as it's sat on a huge non slip mat and it's has a fair bit of weight.
It's been constructed with a 3" square recess that the strut brace slots into. This gives me effectively another 3" of depth to the box volume and lets me have it sloped to the seats.
Inspiration, perspiration and a garage full of random stuff resulted in the brace being wrapped in plumbing lagging and the plate being screwed into place to hold everything snug!!
I'm pretty sure I don't have the acceleration to rip that bad boy off. The only downside is the brace is no longer visible.

Still miss the pair of those subs so brutal defo want a listen when our paths cross Alan be interesting to see how it sounds with that shape box and port layout I've only ever used them in a optimal (according to bbp6) set up but is well proven odd shaped enclosures can have a real nice effect on output and sound my new one is close to that type of shape and I'm hoping for big noise from it.
