just bought my first Cougar and will say impressed!,after having newer cars and failing mots and costing fortunes ,decided to go back to pre 2000 cars,never had a problem with them,one thing do like parts new are cheap! for the Cougar,insurance is cheap as well,bought the v6 out of all my previous cars for a 126k car that engine is quiet! and got my fave colour met blue! now bit about me lol yes i am an old fart 50! but act more like a 20yr old peter pan me! i am a cab driver well part time after 16yrs of driving round my town i had enough,i do all my own mechanic work have done since my teens,build trikes now and again when ££ permits,into internet gaming !! thats my biggest flaw do love rpg games,and have made many friends around the world and not unknow to be playing to 3am most days !

You may change your mind about cheap parts though if you ever need to change the wishbones or subframe
sounds like you're happy with your chosen steed, and so you should be!
do a lot of searching plus get trade prices at motor factors,beside ever bought spare's for a diesel Laguna mkII,needed a mortgage for those hence got rid of it and bought the Cougar lol and thhanks everyone for the welcome
LOL I guess that's why they call it the season of goodwill.
You must've seen the extremes of human nature though. Not sure I could cope with it personally.
