Hello all,

just picked up my first Cougar. Very please with the first drive. I am sure that this site will be very helpful when i start to tinker.

1998 S plate 2.5 V6 85000 New Mot and 4 months TAX...£510. Not sure if it has the x pack but it is full leather heated seats....

Will post some picks soon but it really needs a good wash..

Anyone know its history s756 XAV? Good or Bad.
 
Welcome to the Forum Rwilts. THe registration will be of interest to Pid 16v, as he has a register of S**(*)XAV's, yes you have got the X pack, as only X pack Cat's had leather. Out of interest, is your Cat silver, or Frosty as it's known in Cougar circles?
 
Yea its 'frosty' ..Looks great. To be honest was just looking for a cheap run a round after some twit wrote off my Focus last month. Ebay had some interesting machines within travelling distance and I always like to have interesting cars. So started looking into the cougar Only sold my 1998 BMW 535 last year when the engine blew.. needs a good wash on the outside and a few obvious minor issues such as the drivers window travellers up about 1cm to high to close against the seal and i have paid my subscription to get access to the knowledge bases.
Having waited 5 days to collect the car I had not seen another Cougar on the road, then tonight 1 mile from home a green cat with nice plate drove behind me...

Sounds like a bargain you got there. Enjoy! And the green cougar definitely wasn't mine either - unless the Mafia boys have been on a joy ride :angel:
 
Although I have got the nicest plate............................ it wasn't me either :LOL:
