Hi guys,

My name is Hardip and I am a newcomer to the Cougar scene and this forum. Previous conviction was a Ford Probe and I have now developed (for better or for worse) and thing for the Ford Cougar (ideal for my family situation and will serve my needs for work).

Where would be the best place to seek a reliable (well looked after) Cougar, aside here? I'm really cautious about traders selling but are they that bad? I dont really want to mod the car as I love the looks of the standard models, as I once did with the Probe. However, the Probe had certain things to watch out for. Is this the case so much with the Cougar?

I will be looking at purchasing in the next couple of months (hopefully in tandem with a house move!)

Cheers folks!

Kindest regards,
Hardip.

Welcome to the club paji dude. plenty of knowledgeable people up in this forum. As for your question, I bought my Cougar from Autoraider (Autotrader), and lucky got away with a good deal without being ripped off. I would try pistonheads.com or try visiting an ebay sellers cougar and inspect before bidding/buying.

Thanks for the warm welcomes and advice, guys!

And there was a time when I was the only one in the village

Welcome aboard Hardip, hope you find a car that ticks the boxes! You looking for a Zetec or a Duratec?

Hardip, what particulars are you looking for? Colour, C1/C2, spec etc. I might have one for sale and know of a couple up for sale.
No particulars in mind. Most important is the car is tip top condition. In an ideal world it would be a black car with black leather interior but i'm flexible.

Mines silver x pack and pimped up and the one near me is standard c pack frosty. There was a couple of C1 Black X Packs on eBay in the last week or so.
