Hello, My names Simon. I personally don't own a Ford Cougar, but my brother does and I do most of the work on it when it all goes wrong. He picked up a 2.0L blue one for the tidy sum of £500 and has been abit of a warrior with the amount of miles he does to work.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello and have a nose around....our family is Ford mad with everyone having a performance ford of some kind :)

Just noticed I didn't post any pictures, I haven't got any of the Cougar but I've got one of my cars. Im seriously into detailing and should get some pictures of the Cat when I've had a chance to give it some TLC. Anyway one of mine:

Hi mate, welcome to the club! your family is just as mad as mine. my father buys the new model focus every year, by bro has two performance fords, then there's me with my ford family carrier and........MERCURY Cougar lol

JJ you best be pulling my leg calling my RS a ST! hahaha

Sorry ok you have a proper RS then a fat RS lol I personally do not like the newer model looks too fat and ponderous (I'm sure it isn't) :) no offence intended but I prefer the first RS looks more of a drivers car and having driven one of the first not one of second and I loved it.

is this the focus mk3 rs? my bro went mad on his rs with jamsport inter-coolers n other stuff.

p.s. you would love ford fair!

No such thing as a mk3 FRS....yet lol the left one if my Mk1 FRS and the right is the newer Mk2 FRS. Been to ford fair the last few years, works out very expensive for a ford nut lol

No offence taken lol my Mk1 is abit of a toy its had a fair amount of work done to it with over 300bhp now, only gets taken out on dry days and is my baby. I would post some pics of some of the mods but the pictures dont seem to show?! The Mk2 is great but lacks the rawness of the Mk1, but is much better for day today driving and is by no means a couch potato haha

Hello and welcome to the forum. A couple of tidy motors and I too would take the one on the left in the photo as I have a hunch our initials are the same. ;)
Andy.

Cheers! Haha good spot, both on private plates. Mk1 has mine and my gfs initals, and the mk2 has my parents intials, better than it going to waste lol

there were are four ford focus mk's im sure. mk1 with first edge design introduction, mk2 which did not have an rs model released only st, the mk3 focus with better designed front and nice headlights and then lastly the ugly looking mk4 with the Egyptian pyramids for air intakes.

the mk3 with better lights was the rs, or was it just a facelift?

you have:

Mk1 Focus until 02
Mk1 Focus (facelift) 02-04 which includes the St170 and RS model
Mk2 Focus 05-08 includes the ST(prefacelift)
Mk2 Focus 08-11 includes ST(facelift) and the RS
Mk3 Focus 12-on ST should be on sale this month

(y)

Had all the performance models other than the ST170 at one time or another haha

Both look fab dude regardless. I think the focus as it had been updated has just looked fatter and fatter, they certainly feel better built and more refined the newer ones but the mk1 RS just feels raw and built to hammer the crap out of and I love the fact you really have to control it when you drive it feeling the diff working.

That's how a quick car should be to me, you should feel like you need to concentrate and really be "on it"

Hi and welcome!! Having driven both those cars I'm very envious :) your posts probably need approving which I'll check and do for you now!! Enjoy ;)
