Hi to all, just bought my first Cougar, 1999 v6, Just doing a few jobs to get it through the MOT and then I will be on the road. No doubt will be asking many questions!!!

Hello and welcome to ukcougar.org, your in the right place for all things cougar related, as well as some crazy banter. You will also be able to find all the fixes you need in our subscriber sections. Have a browse around the open forums and get a feel for the place. Remember! ukcougar.org is the only workshop manual for the big cat.

hi all, for MOT it needs rear discs and pads, the last owner left it standing for a while and I think that has caused the issue, plus a good service - slightly high CO on fast idle probably a blast would cure that.

I'll have some rear discs available in the next 10 days - stock parts done around 3k if you'd be interested? Pads too although used pads aren't something I'd usually offer.

If you're doing the rear brakes I would seriously consider replacing the hand brake cables at the same time especially as it's been left standing for a while.
