hi folks,

just signed up to the site, 2nd time cougar owner,s reg silver x pack in 1985 and now 2001 ebory cougar2.

wish i still had my roof bars - any ideas on how to find a pair?

visteon svoop / copy from 35th edition - any leads / ads ?

strut fitment to bonnet anyone done it ?

Hi cooperman and welcome to ukcougar.com, your in the right place for all things cougar related, as well as some crazy banter. You will also be able to find all the fixes you need in our subscriber sections. Have a browse around the open forums and get a feel for the place. Remember! ukcougar.com is the only workshop manual for the big cat.
All the mods you mentioned have been done by quite a few members, including myself and we also have our very own strut brace manufacturer/supplier, among other things cougar related.
 
Welcome for everything on your list apart from the roof bars contact dogsbody and he can sort you out and for the roof bars good luck on your search as they are as rare as rocking horse poo try eBay you might get very very lucky

Well many thanks buddy - I am really happy with my beast - so much so i have just purchased another black cat with really nice alloys to swop around and sell the offcast model, leaving me with the best of both worlds - looking forward to working wiyhin the group to get some cool ideas and hopefully meet some like minded people at some stage.

Pardon my newby ignorance but what are strut braces and do I need some - my teeth look quite good and my trousers don’t fall down - could this be a cougar related accessory ?

Are strut braces the pistons like in the boot but to keep open the bonnet, if so how to I get some and fit them to my beast ?

Thanks, I hope to enjoy, however, the female of the species appears to go into melt down every time I spend money on my interest = cars, versus spending more money covering the paint and paper i just put on the walls for some new “ fashion “ - I am so obviously from MARS !! - but hey - we can all have a little secret can’t we ?

Hi , read some where that not many cougars made it into uk and even less cougar 2 , how can i find out how many x pack v6 cougar 2 came in - it feels to me that it may be quite a small number - can anyone advise ?

....that's the total number of C2's imported here. Some would be Zetecs, V6 MTX, V6 autos and V6 MTX/V6 auto X packs. I think most were V6 X packs though.
