October 2011rolling road day

A great day even if I had a banging headache for most of if (some Ibuprofen on arrival home sorted that out) :)

A right old road trip with Mofo and Mark and had the pleasure of driving the Phoenix there and back. Quite apparent over-fuelling problems beforehand were highlighted by strong petrol fumes from the exhaust (and a slight lack of grunt in the low/mid range). Well, one rolling road and remap later and I'm pleased to say that the Phoenix is much more driveable now. The increase in power is not massively different, what is noticable though is the increased low and mid end grunt and smoother overall power delivery. Oh, and MPG figures probably never seen before in Mofo's cat

Good to spend a Sunday with other Cougar nuts and looking forward all the more to the UKC Xmas bash

Steve Mind you, your power reading was only slightly less than what I got in March this year (159bhp @ 6475rpm to your 152bhp) and that is for a mostly standard car so its still not bad going.

P.S. Jumped back in the fourby after dropping Mofo and Phoenix off, drove off and (for a moment) thought I'd left the handbrake on :(

Amazing day had by all, was busy and loads going on.

Very productive and informative day.

Looking forward to the next one.

Glad i came, and got to have at least a 'brief' chat with everyone ;-P lol
MoFo, i'm sorry i tookadapiss....................ah sod it no i'm not lol :D breaking yer leg while trying to save ya car is the ultimate sacrifice lol but you really do deserve a medal for putting up with us lot lol

Great seeing all the old gang again! I've been away far too long. Nice to see some new faces as well.

Some impressive feats managed today but one thing shined over the rest for me.. Seeing Mark out and about :) Missed that cheeky grin mate (y)

I was a bit gutted nobody had a crook lock though so I could clamp mofo

Thanks to Mart for fitting my rear strutbrace :D lobbed it into some corners and you can really tell the difference!

Thanks to Si for logistical help and a big thanks to Al for opening Pid towers at such an obscene hour!

Yeah, we had to take the scenic route home didn't we?

Bloody M18 was shut, so went via timbucktoo - and some twisty bits having been virtually stationary for an hour

Happy now you got your keys coded

What can i say that hasn't already. Great turnout, considering about 50% of attendees weren't even there for any rr stuff, just to be there and get in the mix  It was good to see the usual gang and it's always good to see the new faces put to forum names. Si, it's always a pleasure to see your car in bits mate, no matter what stupid time or weather :). At last i got to see "Snowcat" first hand and close up. Very impressive looking motor Rob (y)
Nice to see some impressive figures today, mofos Phoenix is now officially ST220, and Dave's (localloon) 206 was a big improvement on his opening figure. Very nice UIM (y)
It was especially good to see the "heroes" mofo sob and charliecd001 aka Iain and Mark with their new part time driver Everton2004 aka John. I never tire of these little get-togethers.
As for my RR session (dyno) disappointment at first news as i was expecting an improvement on my previous figure just post run-in period, but really came away feeling better than last time as it's pretty obvious that this fault has developed since then, ie: underfueling (low pressure). All was explained to me and we were given a practical demonstration for an instant fix, just to highlight the problem. Hopefully it comes down to a clogged fuel filter which i will replace tomorrow, then it's bonnet open time to check the other fuel line bits.
Thanks to the rr guy (sorry i don't know his name) for taking the time to go over everything with me. Looking forward to clearing this fuel issue very soon and loosing a few more beans.
We did arrive a little later than expected, so i didn't see Steve or Rachels cars on the rollers, and Riks was just coming off, so i missed you on video. I'll have some vids edited for tomorrow night though and a few piccies of the rest of the sessions.

Hey All, sorry that I couldn't be there, but duty calls and I had to work! Anyway, sounds like a great meet and it must have been good to see the snowcat in the flesh - I await to see it at Christmas. Good to see Iain flying around in his new 2bhp machine...but Iain, it really needs some bling..come on man! lol Mark, good that you made it with the help of "John the Taxi...Phoenix Driver! (Lucky sod!) - although I bet that's where your headache came from if the Phoenix was over fueling and you could smell fuel inside the car....it was either that or Mark or Iains socks!! lol

Dave, that's some impressive bhp figures for your new UIM to be pumping out, I'd be more than pleased with just over 200bhp! Nice! Al, your 4 pot may not be producing a lot, but you can still give us V6 lads a run for our money, so wouldn't worry too much....and remember..your coug CAN outrun an Audi...especially if it's a blue one..with hidden lights! ;-)

Look forward to seeing the vid's Al - will check back in tomorrow night.

Other than that - see you all at the Chrimbo bash :)

Steve got two figures on the day, 152 @ wheels and 169 @ fly, I however only got the fly wheel figure as did mofo etc, shaun has written in another post that the 1st few runs were given printed figures of each but as time ran on only fly figures were given

Great day out, big thanks to Mart, Sean, Hi Tech guys and Redbitz guys, very impressed by the professional approach and the amount of knowledge they were happy to divulge (especially the guy who operated the dyno, sorry didn`t get your name)

Great to meet localoon and freeman and the number of people who came just for a meet was impressive, shows what a great club we are lucky to be members of, admin out in force as well, great to see Rob out playing again and a special word for Mark, looking good mate, hope you enjoyed the day.

Thanks to Uncle Al for the idle control valve and the carbon effect third light - fitting it was beyond the call mate

Brilliant day, well organised and nice people.

Will deffo be attending the next one with my Vlovo

(I am 99% sure figures are @ flywheel (171 before and 187 after remap on Alan/ Frank) (y)(y)

Yeah, i've just written the wheel figures for the moment, i'll use that formula you found and put flywheel figures down when I start the other thread (when i'm on my pc)

Just thought I'd throw up a few pics from the day...
