For Christ sake Paul, don't start talking technically. You'll just end up being wrong

I don't think it's fair on Alan to call it something incorporating 'Pid'.

I don't think I want to call her cat5. Serious suggestions welcome from everyone (well, nearly everyone).

Didn't ever think Alan would part with his pride and joy, keep it safe Si.
Tbh I've wanted a replacement myself for a couple of months but now the whole medical "thing" and the upandcoming wedding in the new year have realy scuppered my plans, wanted a Black C2, as it happens I may have to quit driving for a while though anyway with this sickness

It will be kept in the manner it has become acustomed Matt, the car and Alan both deserve that.

I will be renewing all the renewables over the next 12-18 months, adding a few subtle mods, and trying to gradually ensure the cosmetics are as good as they can be.

How about Mister Bigglesworth ..? or Maginificat... , Adolf Kittler..(Maybe not  :stop:) errm.. Carzilla.. or, "Hsing Yi" is a kick ass form of cat style Kung fu.. :)

Or you could just go with Cat 5...

welcome back to cougar ownership - think you might find a use for all those spares you have? (y)

Funny you should say that. I am now keeping a box full of little odds and sods for me. No doubt there will be stuff i don't have, or that i have previously sold, but hey ho.

Still got a few hundred quids worth of spares i could do with getting shut of mind!

A bit boring but I'd go with 'S97XAV' or an abbreviation e.g. 'S97'.
Anyone who has been in the club for a while will know exactly which Cat you're talking about.
Even when it was wearing S600... I at least and maybe others, still knew its original reg.
Plus I think S97XAV will cause least offence, maximum respect to its previous owner.

Regarding the name, this is a car that has been sort-of-killed and then carefully resurrected. Not a birth of fire and rage (and we already have a Phoenix...) but a natural one of love and care.

So if it was mine - and I wasn't so hooked up on shark names - I would call it Osiris.

When i think of something to say in reply i will post o_O. Meanwhile, regarding names for S97, i never thought of one and naming cars has never really been something i do, except for the last Cortina and one of my Capris: Tina and Cappy respectfully.
Tbh, i'm still a bit miffed but it'll be good to see S97 kicking about at meets etc, but i think the really wierd thing for me will be if i end up either leading or following her in a convoy:cool:.
