Yes, but that is all very well, but what if he doesn't like them afterwards? then he's screwed. At least with vinyl, Steve can pull them off if not to his liking.

Alex did something similar moons ago by putting clear vinyl over the outer triangles of the bonnet. Real subtle and really effective. Mike (571) has clear graphics down the sides of his car too.

I had a similar idea once Steve because I was convinced the Cougar bonnet would be right for it. I only ever played with masking tape though. For a few quid, get some stripe, whack it on and see. Best way!

Or given how much of a whizz you are in PS.......

I could do a little 1:18 scale test for you if you like Steve. I've got some vinyls to do tomorrow and i have some very subtle light greys which contrast nicely with Silver Frost.

I had a similar idea once but just a single stripe, did some mock ups on Pc, when I'm on there again I'll post up a pic

Funnily enough i've been thinking of the same thing and i agree with localloon, either anthacite or a darker silver, i think carbon would look a bit chavvy as much as i like carbon but its your choice matey

I'm okay with carbon vinyl, as long as the entire piece is done with it and you might be fooled into thinking that's what it's actually made of.

I really like the low-contrast (or matte) look on that mustang a few pages back.
