God your cougar is mint underneath. Lots of work gone into that there. Slowly going through mine over the years with the ultimate goal of it looking something like yours but still a way to go yet, but I know the work involved. Every bolt snaps...
Do you still have the other cars photoed? I like the Probe and Mondeo
Thanks David, it’s been a labour of love, sweat, expense and tears! Had to take it back to bare metal and start from there, I’m sure I’m still coughing up bits of it now! If you do decide to go the same route with your car may I recommend products by a firm called Buzzweld, been very impressed with their stuff.
Yes still have all the cars pictured, despite the Probe being in very decent condition all round I plan on doing the same to it as I’ve done to the Cougar after the summer so it’s properly future proofed. Gluten for punishment!

Absolutely fantastic collection. I love the Probe, it's great to see one in good condition, both the ones I had were barely hanging together!
Thanks! Yes it’s not in bad shape, just started to get some blistering on a rear arch so it’s going under the knife end of the summer to bring it up to the standard of the cougar…or at least that’s the plan 🤞🏻

past on by my dad, he's had it since it was released. He was a member of this club and took me to fast ford events when I was a kid at Silverstone

Car featured in this weeks Classic Car Weekly. They insisted I be in the picture…look a right tool!!! 🤦‍♂️.

It’s supposed to be featured in Classic Ford magazine too but we’ve had to push back the photoshoot until it’s engine woes are sorted. Club got a mention too 🙌🏻

Loving this, Simon. Especially since it is very much a labour of love.

Another JN, there's a few around on that plate, looks good

I'm not sure if you know how to decode pre-2001 plates, but that was registered in either Southend or Chelmsford (which at the time, the DVLA considered satellite sites of Colchester), like AR and OO were.

And I never looked it up before, but was surprised to find that AV (as in, S###XAV) were registered in Peterborough.

Scotland I think, some of its oldest invoices/paper work back when it was nearly new are from Scotland. 😬
