Yours was originally registered in Preston.

I'm not sure if you know how to decode pre-2001 plates, but that was registered in either Southend or Chelmsford (which at the time, the DVLA considered satellite sites of Colchester), like AR and OO were.

And I never looked it up before, but was surprised to find that AV (as in, S###XAV) were registered in Peterborough.

I only know some of them off by heart, I have to check my book for others, I didn't know JN. I mostly know the local ones so knew about AV. My Dad's Ambassador is FAV. There's something exceptionally special about a classic car still living where it's local plate is from. My cougars is WP so Redditch area and when I'm at Gaydon I like to think it's gone home for the show
