Probe

yeah got that part. Body kit cladding is the term Im unsure of. Y'all and your crazy english terminology stuff [emoji3]. To me we have bumper covers fender flares and side skirts. The only part I can remember being called a cladding actually went over the bottom half of the door

I realised that there might be a language barrier (sills vs. rockers as an example) and went off on a tangent.

Anyway, I tend to agree with you that the bodykit - factory-fitted or not - probably won't be doing the sills any favours.

I don't know whether the other guys here, with Roush or Wings West kits have ever experienced this, but when I had a DTM-style kit on my Rover 200, the MOT guy put on an advisory every year, saying that the sills could not be properly inspected because they weren't visble. It obviously bothered him enough that he felt the need to record it. So perhaps there is some merit to being concerned.

The roush to what I can tell with Jane hasnt created a problem. But they dont wrap over the top of the door jam. They pretty much just follow it and are doublesided taped the entire length of the piece. Water doesnt have much choice but to go over the outside of the skirt

If it helps I'm talking about the side skirts, covering the sills (or rockers as it appears you would say ) the metalwork that joins the side of the car to the outer edge of the floor pan.

In summary, the car may or may not be rotten.
The engine may be better than the cougar but not as good as the later derivative.
It may not be as nice to drive as a cougar but is similar to drive as the cougar.
The stalks are japanese layout not euro layout, not really an issue to me.
It could be turbo'd, not something I'd be interested in doing.

Procomm, welding cost is not a problem, I'll jack her up and do it myself. Good to hear sections may be available, I wasn't expecting that.
What I really wanted was someone to say "I'll save her" and remove the temptation from me !

as they said on the TV "You can do it!"

Your right Rooster I can. But I haven't the room for another car, My Cougar would have to go. She is presently half way through a preventative water pump change to be followed by a rear sub frame change, refurbished subby done and ready to install.
I don't really want to sell her and certainly wont until I complete the above. By then the probe might be crushed which would be one heck of a waste.
Any takers ?
