Ok so i have an St200 lim to go on my car when i fit the uim and throttle body. I've just been reading that as my car is a 2000, it may have the larger lim already fitted. Does anyone know if this is true?

Thanks in advance!

If you have rounded as oppose to squared injector pipe covers you already have the larger LIM. Look through the gaps in the UIM at the plastic covers running across the engine.

Fantastic guys, thanks alot! I got the impression from other sites i'd have to remove the uim to find out. Thats alot easier! Can anyone point me in the direction of gaskets for the lim, part number maybe? Gonna be removed either way for cleaning. Thanks again guys

Im pretty sure by the time i need it i will have subscribed. Fantastic site and will no doubt be a very valuable resource in the months to come plus it will be good to get to know you all!:)

I reused mine when i did my swap over and i think nick done the same when i had the st200 engine fitted. Not had any issues at all.
Save yourself some £££ and just clean up what you have got as long as you do have the st200 gaskets with your lim.

Thanks guys, appreciate that! I also have part number 3902545. Is there a difference between the gaskets for uim to lim and lim to block? Maybe thats the 2 numbers are? I take it one gasket for each manifold? Thanks again

Seems i actually need a lim after all, turns out the one i bought is a standard 2.5, bad times. I dont think they are worth the 75 quid most ebay sellers want for them though! I got my throttle body for 30 and uim for 60 and i think those probably offer better gains.

Ok cool. I have read, not sure if it was here or elsewhere, about some owners not using them and getting on fine. I suppose if standard was fine Ford wouldnt have needed a larger one lol. I've seen one lim thats had an SVT sticker on it and D stamped on the butterflies. Con job?
