Hello,

Having to replace the rear subframe I was looking at maybe replacing the control arms as well, and then I realized: 1) the rear subframe is really hard to get (had to order one from US)
2) The forward-most rear control arm (depicted in diagram as no. 4) isn't on sale anywhere at all

Have you ever seen this part for sale, or do you have a part number that might help with searching ?
There seems to be plenty of no.5's but that's about it.

Thanks for your help, the only place that seems to have them is Ukraine and Russia - that's funny. According to those sites the part should be the same as on MK1 and MK2 Mondeo.

In my case: the mechanic will try to remove the original arms from the rusted subframe and if successful will install them in the shiny new one. If he breaks no.4 that will be the end of my car, will have to scrap it. Shame really as nothing else is wrong with it; those lovely winter roads and salty sea air have done their job.

Josh very interested to know how you managed with your rear sub frame. After failed recent mot test my garage tells me they cant fix it due to badly rusted rear sub frame. The only other items to sort out were new rear shock and cleaning of brake pipes otherwise car is ok so might end up having to scrap the car.
