red seatbelt light question

hi all
my red seatbelt light dont light up.
is this a poss mot faliure?
the amber air bag lights up ok when first switched on but no seatbelt light.

checked the bulb thats ok, where does it get its power...any ideas?

Has anything else stopped working? central timer unit is known to effect this...

interior light ok on door open?
lights on bing bong warning?

yep everything works except this darn light ,have sent power to it via the back pcb of the clocks and it lights so something external to this is faulty...
is their a delay relay or something that powers this ,had a look at the mondeo haynes manual wiring diag but that dont even mention ito_O

got my mot on wed so just wandering if best to connect it to the oil light or sumthing....do i need it??

And it only mentions seat belt pre tensioners, not the seat belt warning light itself.

hmm i wonder if the test light for the pre tensioners is the air bag one or the seat belt one..ive heard of seat wiring harnesses causing air bag light problems but cannot find what powers this stupid light.

think ill just power it with the oil light feed...dont want a retest fee due to a stupid light.

It's not an mot failure. It's just a warning light to remind you to out a seat belt on. It's a switch inside the drivers seat belt clip. Drops one wire out of the bottom of the seat belt clip to earth when connected. It has probably come loose from the seat being moved over the years

ive got everything perfect on this car ready for the dreaded mot yet this light which i only noticed today wasnt working had me worried..
