to be honest i had a mini 1275gt do this some time ago as no4 bearing has oil issues when reve'd hard ,i just changed the shells and it was never anymore trouble.
in my experience so long as the crank surface is smooth and the spun shell hasn't made the crank journal oval(no longer round) you should be fine with that engine.
but then i suppose it'll always be in the back of your mind...when's that dodgy shell gona go..
