Hi Everyone,

Ive always loved the look of the Cougar and the other day I bought one. Its a 99 T reg, V6 in Silver with 106k on the clock. Its not immaculate and it requires a bit of attention in places but I love working on cars so we should get on great. The car is standard at the moment but I think if I like the car ( not had chance to get to know it yet ) then there may be some tweeking in the near future.
Unfortunatley some one has tried to tidy a few minor scratches up with the WRONG COLOUR paint so I have got to sort that out and re-paint the rear quarter panels as they are also the wrong shade. I am very tempted to go for the satin black look rather than try to match the colour of the paint but I havent got the balls incase I make the car look like a bodged up banger?!?

I took collection of the car late in the day on X-mas eve and I havent been out in it since as the Insurance place has been closed for Xmas but I have just managed to get through to them so the car is all legal and good to go now so Im off for a drive :D.

Cheers Guys, Keith.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the all the welcomes. Well its been a productive day and Ive got half the paintwork sorted out, Im going to tackle the other side of the car tomorrow. I decided to stick with the original colour ( What was I thinking - Satin Black?? ) and the car is starting to look as it should now. Ive been for a good run in it this evening and I really like it, the look, the feel, and its got a nice bit of poke too. Im looking into subscribing to this site as Id like to look at some of the garage talk threads and Ive got a feeling I will be keeping this Cougar for a while. Thanks again guys.

Hello and welcome aboard Keith. Glad you have managed to sort out the paint defects. Once you start modding you know there is no stopping and your wallet will be forever empty LOL!!!!!
