No Rick, just that things are what they are, or in this case they are not! You wouldn't call a Cougar a Probe would you? Or a Volvo a Bentley? Of the 3 key visual things that make it a "replica" it only has one, and even that was fitted wrong! The colour is wrong, the wheels are wrong which leaves the kit which I'll give you is based in the original but that's it.

It's like these kids that fit the universal side skirts to their cars that are modelled in the Veilside Supra. You wouldn't call a Saxo wrapped in a ton of fibreglass, like that C2, a Veilside Supra would you?? No, it'd still be a Spaxo! ;)
 
I can see exactly where you are coming from mate but I think you have been traumatised as far as the S kit is concerned.

Would you not agree that fitted properly it would bear more than a passing resemblance to the concept car and with massive attention to detail could form the basis of a replica
 
Precisely my point Rick. I've not been traumatised in any way but a spade is a spade. You've made the point yourself that it requires massive attention to detail and being properly fitted etc. Everything that C2 is not.
 
What a waste, should be the best Cougar ever but he has just let it fall apart. It's going to a brave person/persons who take it on. God knows what the engines like if he left the bodywork become the state it is in now. Cannot see a syndicate type buy working as everytime something wants repairing ect i think it would end in fallouts especially if it a large outlay occured and some syndicate members are cash strapped at that time and with that rebuilt engine IF it still salvageable could not be run on a low budget. Body work alone would be at least a couple of grand with a respray, with decent new wheels and brakes, decent interior etc etc cannot see this costing less than 5 grand.
