Would this be concidered a "barbaric" act of vandelism?

My only gripe and i think im answering my own question is for the amount of weight saved there would be minimal performance gained and a LOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT of comfort sacfrificed.

Anyone know of anyone whos tried it.????

As of now its my second car so its only going to be a thrash about for fun machine!!!:devilish::devilish::devilish::devilish:

Stripping it makes a big difference if your talking rear seats carpets air con etc I did car handles notably better more mpg and goes quicker stops harder, if your not talking a proper strip job then no it's waste of time.

Shaun from Racebits stripped out a Mondeo ST and it was posting some good times at Santa Pod. Like JJ said though, unless you're completely stripping it out then probably not worth it (y)

Im very very tempted. But no going back i fear once started. Do you think if i done it i should go the full roof and door car linings, aircon and carpets out!!!!!!

Yep whole lot rubber mats for floor and just some thin Perspex/plastic sheep to cover doors once you remove door cards.

Honestly transforms the car I can only talk about my car which has suspension mods brakes etc but transformed it air con removal saves weight and drag on the engine so is a double bonus mine has been ripped put pump pipes the lot.

Well once i mot it i dont think i have anything to loose, but gain a cougar lightweight. Well excitied. With the aircon removal do you have to tidy up any pipes or cap anything off?

No cut them at bulk head if permanent removal I reckon the whole A/C system is 10-12kg easy Inc pump/pipes/rad etc.

Also change from seats Inc sub frames massively heavy arrangement side mount buckets will again save a huge amount, both airbags from steering wheel and passenger side is another 8-10kg easily. I think in total 150-180kg saving is minimum that can be made that's two average size blokes!.
