Got fed up of scratching the paint on my rear strut brace every time i chucked owt in the boot..engines, washing machines, rubble, dead hookers etc. So i decided to make a stainless steel one :)

I fink it looks purdy :geek:

The obvious question now then Mart, is whether you're going to start selling your front and rear strut braces in stainless and for how much?

Ooh shiny shiny....watch out for the magpies! lol.....hmmmmI maybe interested too in the future depending on cost. Me likey! :)

I'd say there's definitely interest Mart, going off the comments so far in this thread. £80 for the rear? I'd do that. Might have to sweet talk Joanne a bit and see if she'll let me order one for my birthday in October! What do you reckon for the front?

Ok mate, lemme know if and when ;-)

The problem with the front ones is the profiling of the parts...i would have to order at least 5 sets of flanges and lugs to make it worthwhile for the laser cutting company i use. Also the bending of the main cross bar could be a problem..then it would be a task to dish the flanges to sit on the strut tops nice and flush. What i am saying is that i would have to lay a lot of money out just to see if the front ones could be done or not. I'm not ruling it out but it looks unlikely at this stage.

Fair enough mate, I appreciate the honest answer. Are your 'regular' front braces made of steel or alloy? I'm thinking along the lines of if they're steel it could be bought from you snd then chrome dipped prior to fitting.
