Seeing as I missed out on Thundercats lovely lovely gearbox it looks like I will have to make my own.

Before I jump into this I need to know costs. Obviously a gearbox can be had for pennies, and a Quaife LSD is around £600 (unless I can get hold of a used one) - the only constant not known is the shot-peening of the gears.

How much is this?? I did see a figure of £500 thrown about somewhere on Pistonheads but that was dated 4 years ago.

Also, is anyone aware of anywhere local to me (Hull/East Yorkshire) that does this??

TIA

Alex

To have the gearset shot peened and stress relieved your looking at around £600-750 then for uprated bearings put another £150 on top.

What car is this for?

Is it for the Fourby? I could swear either Nick or Mark told me they have a limited slip diff to the front wheels and open diff to the rear?
