Sill welding

Cheers for your replys chaps! It was nice to catch up with rich again, and to see his face when I cut a gaping hole in his car was priceless lol.

It was a dam cold day though, in some of the pics you can see small patches of the hailstone that fell the previous day! It took most of the evening to defrost my feet! Steph did great though supplying us with tea and pig!

I would have liked to match the finish to the bodywork but as advised by rich, its going to have some paint whilst in storage so I just slapped some primer over, then a dose of spray on stone chip, and a good dollop of underseal underneath to give it a little protection on rich's long journey home, and gave him a tin of the stuff just incase it it didnt survive the journey

I must also thank rich b and rich e for supplying and bringing a bonnet switch that fixed my problem of no indicator flash on deadlock.

Great work Dave, good to see a somebody who really knows their stuff putting it into practice and helping someone else out in the process. (y)

The galv wasnt too bad tbh, I took it back to metal about 20mm from the edge all round. A little bit of the white fury stuff but not too much :)

Its nothing like cheep galv unistrut, you know the type, that has large dollops of galv all over it lol
