Spoiler! Thoughts please

Got to say you can tell it is not for the cougar it doesn't sit right at all imo its too square to tall and from the side where it sits "inboard" of the edge of the boot lid looks a little silly to my eyes, but as has been said it is a very personal thing modding a car if you like it then that is what matters.

Loads of people told me an MG TF spoiler would look dumb on a cougar but to me it sat absolutely perfect.

Not my cup of tea, but as many have said, it's an individual thing. I think maybe if you were to trim it down a little it might not be so OTT and in your face. Makes the car look a little back heavy as it is at the mo, though again, with it just being in primer it will stick out like a sore thumb. Once Merlin has done his thing with photoshop it might look a little better.
 
It needs to be trimmed down at least an inch or so as feet are curve n need to be flat to fit boot correctly!

It looks awful mate. As others have pointed out though, modding is all about individual taste. The guy next to you may hate what you've done but it's not his car, if it's pleasing to your eye then it's right. That said, you asked for thoughts.... I think it looks awful.

Really not for the cougar, i know modding is individual and all that, but, imo, this will turn your "head turner" into a completely different type of "head turner"
 
I think it aint that bad,other people have had similar "Cougar-spec" spoilers on there cats and they have looked ok (Morgasams was a similar looking spoiler) and i've seen similar looking ones on Pumas too.
 
Each to their own and all that but I don't like it either. The kind of think you'd expect to see on Barry Boys :eek:
 
Personally I love the supra style spoilers THAT ARE MADE SPECIFICALLY TO FIT THE COUGAR, the one you have there is noticably made to fit a different car IMO & no amount of trimming will make it look right.:oops:

That said it was deffo worth a punt for what you paid, but I'd be inclined to save up for the genuine article & get something that's really gonna make a statement (the right kind!).:LOL:

I'm currently trying to source a UK distributor for this type of spoiler, that will look like this when fitted :

Wings west, highly unlikey you will find a genuine one but maybe someone is making a copy of them. It is the same as SDM's spoiler, the wings west and Rousch stuff looks so good on the cougar as it was specifically styled to fit a cougar not just a generic bodykit they adapted to fit a cougar.

I like spoilers but think that one looks a bit much without anymore kit on to balance it out.
But like people have said, its up to you if you like it.
Many people dont like my cat because of all the Kit but i Love her
 
fair point well made.

My 2p on the spoiler, personally, I really don't like it, but my opinion isn't important - if you like it, go for it

Thanks for offering to help have a look for a UK supplier Kev & Nancy, the Puma one is too big for my liking, the high rise effect on the ones I provided pics of, where designed for the Cougar & are just right proportionally IMO.(y)

If I get any joy gav, I'll drop you a PM, as I'm really after one of these myself too, but be prepared to pay over £200.(y)
