Well its been nearly 2 years to the day and unfortunatley I am now cougarless:(. I had been toying with the idea of selling and a chance meeting with someone brought about the opportunity to sell for what I thought was a reasonable price. Have loved (almost) every minute of having the cougar but the little things just kept building up to a point where I couldnt fix them due to money or time or mainly ability & know how. And at the moment I need something a little cheaper to run for a bit of work ive been doing and coz we really want to give the wifes company a big push this year so all spare funds going into that.

Just wanted to say thanks to this website. Ive been a member on other car forums but none were as welcoming, useful or well used as this one. Particular thanks to Tony (topcat) always helpful with his halfords card and garage full of bits (and nice bike i was always bit jealos of), & Al (pid_16v) who was very patient with me when I was having wiring issues when I fitted the speedhut dials i got in the groupbuy a while back..

Long may the cougars continue and maybe in the future.................

cheers peeps, yeah will still be coming on here until my subscription runs out, really appreciate the help ive had off here not all of it cougar related.

Tony, yeah once i'm back on road will pop in to say hi and have a cuppa!

you can still come on after subs have run out,i still do and pester the life out of someone every now and then lol

Traitor!!

How could you leave such a poor excuse for a car behind and move onto something more reliable?:):):)

Good luck with the more reliable car!(y)(y)(y)

Sorry to hear to hear the coug has now gone. I'm sure you'll be back in the future with another one, as most who sell for whateve reason end up buying another later on down the road. As others have said, keep popping onto the forum, it's not just about Cougars! lol

This is true, a lot of people have sold their cougars and still come on here to keep in contact, In fact the way things are going and everyone selling we will probably have to call this club UKCougarless.com soon..

lol, the funny thing is since my cougar went there seems to be a glut of them available in this area, seen a green C2 on a forecourt down the road, well over priced but it is mint! Dunno, if im ever in the position where I have a few hundred spare quid and fancy a hobby 2nd car, i think te cougar is definatley top of the list. It just scares me how cheap some of them are going for now. I'm sure I'll still be on here quite a lot asking stooopid questions. Probably looking at a mondeo or focus tdci or similar. Couple of weeks ago there were loads around here but now cant find anything in local area that doesnt have starship mileage. Only got about 2k to spend really so not loads but should be able to get a decent runaround for that.
