Thanks to Chris, Tracey and Steve

Any time, Matt. That's how we roll. Hope you both had a good time, because that's important too.

T really likes E as well - seems they got on well. At the risk of labouring the point, this is why this club is so awesome. We all love the cars, but it's the friends we make that really pull it together.

Thats good to hear thanks mate Erika will be chuffed :)
They did seem to go off for some girls talk at some point!

We had a great time, UKC meets always seem to be both productive and a good laugh at the same time.

And thank you Matt for delivering my mirrors, sorry I couldn't be more hospitable but I was well into the regular change from normal Caucasian male to...Oil and grime man  hopefully next time we meet wont be such a flying visit (y)

(But he'll still be covered in oil and grime most likely!)

Speaking of which....the garage beckons.

turned out to be a bad weekend  swapped strut top bearing on my cougar that fixed that car, Put a new driveshaft on the passenger side of my mondeo (what i was doing when you turned up) that fixed the wobble on that car then looked at my dads Freelander which wouldnt move, removed the rear prop shaft managed to push the car onto the drive but looks terminal as it starts it goes into gear the clutch bites at the correct place but drive is just locked up, just waiting to see what a mechanic suggests but i think it will either be a new car or i'm doing a full running gear and engine swap on a 1.6 K series freelander

Probably a transfer box issue or a diff rebuild. Have the diff's been regularly topped up etc?

well there was a bang from the rear diff which i thought was the reason it wouldnt move even in neutral hence removing the rear prop shaft, diff still spins so its not locked up I am pretty sure the fault lies in the IRD as i replaced the VCU and couplings a couple of weeks back

Have you checked the half shafts? If one has snapped, the diff will turn but the wheels won't be driven by it. Unless it's jumped a cog and chewed itself up?

I'm not an expert on these, but my dad had a Freelander and the IRD (it doesn't have a transfer box as such) was...problematic. Bearings usually.

His also threw clutches too often for my liking, so there was something else going on there. But YMMV.
