V6 and Zetec fuel pump / sender unit the same?

the fuel pump / sender unit is common to both Zetec & V6
can anyone verify this?

No they are not!

iirc there are three types, two of which i have in the cave and both zetec types, i know of a third type specific to the V6.

I bought these for S97 s while back but never used either obviously. I tested both for output and one was better than the other, so thats yours if you want it mate. I'll get a piccy tomorrow. Is it just the sender you need or pump/sender complete?

Whole thing I think, I'll pull the seat tomorrow and see which type it is (outwardly anyway)

The two you have - one early one with coloured clips and one late one with black clips?

I'll have to check but iirc they are both coloured.

i paid £65 for my pump and it's now completed 6,000 miles so it's reliable enough in my book.

Cheers for that - It's the pick up pipe though (I think) not the actual pump itself
