Had my wonderful V6 cougar now for 25 months, I have a question for the guys with knowledge where can I find the heater blower resister, I have been under the dash for an hour and cant see it anywhere, does it have 4 wires going into it ? please can someone put me out of my misery as I have the blowers on full blast at the hot setting and I cant stop the damn thing !
Thanks in advance , a pic would be fab !

Check your heater fuses, can't remember which number it is or which fuse box but it is a common occurance, the fuse blows, and so does the heater....on hot!

I had the same or similar situation a few years back, but it happened to me on a blazing hot summers day :D. My problem was the flap motor, drivers side of heater box just above the clutch pedal, one small white multiplug going in. As Rich says above, check fuses first, it's easier.

Thanks RichB, checked all fuses and found one gone , car good now, about to replace traction control sensor cables as lights on dash showing traction control and abs
Cheers
