Hello chaps,

Quick question if anyone can help me out.

I'm trading in my 2.0L for a 2.5 soon, but the V6 needs front wishbones.

Question one: Are the V6 Cougar front wishbones the same as the Mondeo ST24 (or is it ST220... I get confused :D ) front wishbones?

Question 2: I have a part number here for what I believe are Mondeo ST24 wishbones that I can obtain from a local spares place, is this part number the same as the V6 cougar front wishbones? - QSA1425S (also came up with QSA1424S).

Any help would be much appreciated! (I think the wishbones from frauds are in the region of £175 or something silly..)

Cheers,

Sam.

PS - If i'm miles off the mark in general here, does anyone know a good place to get wishbones from OR does anybody have the correct part no for V6 front wishbones - ta very much!

Not sure on the part number, but the V6 and the Zetec have identical wishbones, which are also shared with the Mondeo ST200. Please note, wishbones from the ST24 or any other Mondeo will not fit.

Brilliant, cheers guys.

For some reason they could only find wishbones for the 2.0L and not for the V6, but if theyre identicle then that makes life much easier!

be wary if using a local autoshop as alot of places confuse the cougar wishbones with the standard mondeo ones

well as i said the only other place that sells them are eurocar parts or getting them from the states, but euro were the same price as ford the last time i checked and i went to ford as it was cheaper and original parts

Or you could try Ford Parts UK: http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/c/cougar_suspension_271/

I have just bought the front nearside for my V6 and cost me £144 inc of vat and shipping (Note: There is no UKCOUGAR.COM discount given on wishbones). The wishbone does come with the nuts and bolts, so you don't have to buy these separately. Normally the pinch bolts are £3.10 each and the pther 2 bolts about £1.90 iirc (not inc vat of course)
