The actual video's title is misleading (it wasn't a barn-find), the presenter is annoying, ("Neat!") and it's clearly an advert as he mentions a few times that it's for auction (which is why he drove it like an old lady was sitting on the roof in a rocking chair).

All that said, this is a stunning one-off car and the video is definitely worth 8 minutes of your time in my humble opinion. Hope you enjoy!

Two cars behind in the studio are also Cougars; Laser red C2 and the black one is (best judgement) a 1994/5 or 1996/7 model. The XR7 label was applied to the sporty Mercurys throughout history, on the 1989-1997 Cougar variants it was first on the 3.8L supercharged (Thunderbird Super Coupe equivalent) then to the V8s 5.0L and 4.6L.
