What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Took mine for its MOT - which it failed :(

It's booked in to have some welding done next week (sills, front nearside & rear both sides). The tester didn't like my HID headlights either so I'll have to put standard bulbs back in for the retest.

Not the end of the world though - I've had far worse failures in the past.

Drained Power steering fluid in Gemmas cougar and replaced cooler which had been leaking and letting air into the system refilled reservoir 2.3litres bled the system steering now much better (y) Next tackled abs lights staying on, was advised by previous owner it was a sensor fault, turn out the reluctor ring is snapped so got to try and find my spares somewhere in the cougar parts department of my parents garage, job for tomorrow I think

Had the front control arms and track rod ends changed today then put in for MOT which she passed, only advisory is the near side rear anti roll bar bush which has quite a bit of play in it, bit anoyed about that as it was not picked up on last months service and i had Flow-Flex polyurethane ones fitted for last years MOT, been getting a clunk over pot holes for the last couple of months so must be the where its comming from, she has done 8000 miles since they were fitted so going ring Flow-Flex up on monday as i would assume they would last longer than that.

Nothing.
Well i actually went to fit LED replacements for the conventional bulbs in the interior/reading lamps.
Had bought several wedge 5w equivalent LEDs since these are used in many lamps around the car. Allegedly.
Except the reading lamps have bayonet bulbs and fittings.
I'm now wondering which other lamps have bayonet fittings instead of the wedge type that are specified in the user manual.
Sidelights (2), wing repeaters (2), numberplate (2) and high-level brakelight (3) are all wedge in the book.
I'll have a look at those when I've daylight free time. The package of 21w/5w, 5w, HB3 and H7 LEDs arrived yesterday.

If yours is a C1 the sidelight bulbs are bayonets with offset pins, the rest as you've listed are wedge-based.
