What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Good going Chris. No matter how confident we may be or may not be, there is always that element of doubt and/or anxiety pre-M.O.T test. (y)

You are absolutely right.

I had no doubts whatsoever. And yet I had doubts.

With a car like yours, your anxiety is kind of reasonable but not generally justifed. She's old, sure. But she's immaculate.

I rescued Tiger from the scrapper. So although I look after her, I do wonder whether a professional will find something that I haven't. But as I said - nobody kills my car.

A fail means an MFSM. Semper fidelis.

well done on the mot chris...and those emissions:eek: fascinating.

mine did simular though ,better mpg and emissions ,but not that good.
seems even the 170 engine hates being suffocated by small airways etc...melina has never run better since the st200 upgrade

i think for myself and possibly many other cougar owners that look after the car its not anxiety over if it'll pass or not, its if your car is gonna be mistreated by an mot man who dont give a s*** and sees it as an old banger and WANTS to fail it because he dont like it...i absolutely hate giving the keys to the garage.
can't get over my last mot the guy has told dvla that melina has unusually low mileage for her age..idiot!

mine's due end of august ,and im worried they'll take offence to my led yanky lights..

Today i finally got in the footwell, removed the heater trim/kick panel and stuffed my hand up the back of the stereo unit to re-fit the slide bracket on to the runway. My whole stereo unit has had a habit of vibrating forwards and it's been bugging me for months. All back in place now with a tie wrap firmly holding the bracket back to the heater stay. (y)

Gave it a damn good thrashing, well! gave DG some beans part way to Skeg and back. Very refreshing cruising in 5th then slamming into 3rd for a massive overtake. ...and they just love it. :)

Well yesterday I had a great drive down to the new forest and back. Busy on the way down but didnt leave until 9pm so empty roads and flat out all the way home :).

Today I'm going to replace the odd IMRC cover bolts with some proper ones kindly supplied by Ricky.

I love the New Forest but I really don't take advantage of the fact that it's practically on my doorstep. If you decide to take another trip down here Matt give me a shout and I'll get the kettle on :)

Thanks bud.
I go to see a friend of mine who is not well (you'll find stuff about him on here as he had his car restored on Car SOS) but his place would be great for a meet as they own a campsite.

Just put my freshly painted IMRC cover on with the proper bolts. I was going to do some more Waxoyling but its much too hot :)

Sorry guys, 100% my fault!

Reverse parked into a dumpster today. T-Cut time. Few patches I can address (all but this new one were inherited!)

Don't worry mate I had a perfect rear bumper fitted a couple of years ago and I've backed into both a metal barrier and a brick wall since:giggle::LOL:

Just been down to the chip shop and the old girl passed 140000 miles.(y)

Tiger has a scar on her rear bumper where I forgot the law of gravity and dropped a wheelchair on her. No big deal.
