What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Finished up the rest of the underseal I had left over. Should be well coated under there now but I'll keep an eye and patch it up if necessary, especially during the winter.

Today, just. I finally got around to fitting the cold air intake pipe to my Weapon-R filter.......

*Skrawk!* "Every pound you're not spending on rotary seals is another pound spent on cuttlefish bones!" *Skrawk!*

No but seriously, does he like to travel? What's his personality like?

Is it a African or Timneh gray, in-laws have a Timneh, it must be getting on a bit now, it was not a captive bred bird, vicious bugger though.

Anyone else seeing that John's parrot is a Grey called Keith, and is being asked about by someone called Keith who knows a Grey?

Are our pets registering here? Do we need to fix up our Captcha?

He is an African Grey - 18 years old and he's a real character! Talks quite a bit - mainly things Kathy says.....doesn't really copy me for some reason. I'm the one he's bonded with though - I'm the only one he'll allow to handle him and he'll quite happily spend an evening sat on my knee watching TV.

For those who don't know, they say an African Grey has the mental capacity and temperament of a 3 year old child - and they're not wrong. Very intelligent, emotional (can have mood swings, can suffer depression)......in other words not for the feint hearted!

He has been in cars several times - usually between our place and my parents place where we usually leave him when we go away anywhere. I got the travel cage a few weeks ago with the intention to start taking him away with us when we go on holiday. It has taken a while to get him comfortable with the travel cage but he seems pretty happy with it now. Ideally we'd like him to wear a harness so he can go outside without a cage but, at his age, that is highly unlikely. They need to be harness trained while they are very young.

Anyway, I probably have the only Cougar that's had a Parrot in it (not the hands free type)

He's soft as s**e only attacked my feet once though I could have way laid him with my 4 cats two of which are thick s**t and two of which are natural born killers and will not fear talking on the local dogs.
And Kathy swears like a trooper!.

Took her on a 300 mile trip today, purred like a kitten all the way (y)

Popped in to see Mart for a few hours to watch his caliper change and eat his bacon, both very enjoyable.

Then in the afternoon went to Exeter to see a guy who has stripped a V6 frosty (Alec Jenner for those on the facebook page)
I bought a drivers seat in great condition, complete front lower grille, working sunroof and a pair of back lights, all for the princely sum of £30.

He also has 2 Melinas he will be breaking soon, a V6 & a poor mans one.
Bodywork and interiors looked reasonable, but as they have been parked in a field for a while I imagine rust on the underside would be a problem, certainly was on the brakes ( I didn't fancy laying in the mud to take a look). He seems to think they could both run but have fuel pump issues.

Jon, the wings are probably scrap, (at the bottom, notwithstanding the damage we can see to that Melina) but consider rescuing the wing mirrors, bumpers and tailgates.

These will save cars that have been in accidents and might otherwise be scrapped.

Obviously you want to be casual about wanting them to avoid a pricejack, but if he's reasonable I'm pretty sure we can come up with something. Personally I'll take a set of mirrors for modification.

Well did a bit of work on Hellcat today, drained the oil from the engine, 12.5 litres, changed oil filter and put new oil in, new battery fitted and bled the ABS pump (finally) changed front discs and bled all 4 corners, fired her up and she runs like a dream :) made a list of parts I need and then had a play with my ECU, as you can see from the picture front and rear banks running almost perfectly in unison not to rich and not to lean so well happy (y)6776BC14-8B68-4310-A043-9F5CDDFD96B1.jpg

Jon, does this chap only break them on Facebook? I am still in need of a leather armrest.

Incidently, what is the name of the group on FB?

Not sure to be honest, I think this is first one he has stripped down. He did say he wanted to get a decent Cougar to use on the road but I got the feeling he may have just joined the group as a way to advertise the parts he had for sale. He also said he wasn't going to break the other 2 yet but I told him to keep in touch and I'd ask around to see if people wanted any parts or even a whole car from him.
The armrest was damaged on the one he had stripped.
