What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Fitted 65mm throttle body today and what a difference touch the throttle pedal and you are gone lol, pedal is very light compared to the std one, seem to be more torque through out the rev range too

I love this engine bay....it has to be seen to be believed!

You are right Al you did say it make a huge difference, the best performance mod i have so far, only two more i want now boost valve and remap

I have a "boost valve". The same one i had on S97. I think DG must have a better fuel pump as the BV aka adjustable FPR (fuel pressure return regulator) doesn't seem to work quite as well. I might have to reduce the return pressure to 3.8bar but if i do that it might as well be taken off in favour of the oem FPR as they are 3.8bar set. The BV does smooth things out and seems to give me better mpg at motorway speeds but don't be fooled into thinking it'll give any extra power/BHP. It doesn't.

Well, finally I made a start to doing bits and pieces on my coug....although got loads more to get done before April. Anyway, this one is Thanks to Uncle Al....another one of his brilliant stickers.

Finally managed to get a dry weekend day, so I spent 4 happy hours washing, polishing and waxing her. Then I tried to fit my not-especially-cheap new CoverZone Stormforce car cover, only to find it doesn't fit. Grrr.

Rich, give them a call, as when I last spoke to them, the chap advised that they were making the cover for the coug the same size as fits the S-Type Jag (as the size fits better, as there was an issue with the Cougar one being too small). This is the one I bought in November and it fits without issue. What does your paperwork say? Give John a call at Car Coverzone, and tell him that I spoke to him in November. His number is 01903 764 689.

The cover that fits is this one: http://www.carcoverzone.co.uk/stormforce-luxury-cover-jaguar-type-p-1689.html
however, John said they were changing the sizes of the Cougar one to match, so this cover should fit: http://www.carcoverzone.co.uk/stormforce-luxury-cover-ford-cougar-p-2524.html.

I had to speak to John about this myself as I know there had been prior problems with the size and fit of the Cougar cover, which is why I bought the Jag S-Type one last time (after I was advised by one of the guys from South Coast Cougars). I thought that this had now been rectified? Apologies Rich :-(

Well finally I got my bum into gear and have now fitted the "No Limits" grill that Add's did his carbon fibre magic to. I have also cleaned off the old Tiger Seal from my old rear top spoiler that I lost. Used a fluted rubber eraser wheel to do the job - was brilliant - you can't see that I ever had one on there, so she's back to original now. I have also give her a damn good wash and full polish. She looks superb! I would post pic's...but my digital camera has given up the ghost, so I'll have to get a new one. Any before you all say it...I don't have a smart phone, so can't take pic's with that either (yes, I know I'm behind the times...old fart!! lol!!).

I'll try and get some pic's done either when I get a new camera...or find Rach's digital camera....now where'd she put it? lol

Made three 8mm ball end studs on the lathe, that saved me fifteen quid and fitted the Duratec engine cover, also gave the tranny an oil change, definitely notice the difference.
