What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

I covered mine in bits of grass and crap after I strimmed the edges of the driveway(n)

Time for a wash!:D

LOL!!! Yeh, I'v e done that before too. I have now learnt to move the cars onto the road while I strim the edges of the driveway....that way, don't have to wash the car again lol!!!

Removed the top of the inner restrictor in the air box,

The intake is a little more noise, and the pick seems to have got a little fatter perhaps.

Can't say it has made a huge difference, but as they say "every little helps"

And had the lower arms done today :) seems to have knocked the front alignment out a fraction for some odd reason, will need to get that done asap

Drove the fiesta after a week or more of it sitting on the drive, started first time (only went down the chippy lol) off out for a good drive today to the hospital and my parents so that should rack the miles up :) it's great

Still getting water in the boot from the rear light, (Need to fix that) just by the CD changer, so that keeps giving up the ghost.
Having fun with the ford radio's, had the original 5000 in the car, replaced with the 6000 (£20 Ebay), then at the weekend, at the local car boot sale, I got a 6006e for £10, with code and fully working, so far so good, anyone got a manual for the 6006e?

Is that the one with the inbuilt changer, if it is you wont need the boot mounted changer (they don't work together)
Try the vents under lights for leaks mate, the usual suspects.
You'd need an AUDIO manual from a cougar2 for the 6006e I think as thats the cat they were fitted to (or the focus st170)

The 6000 can use the 6 changer in the boot and one in the head unit, the 6006e has the 6 in the head unit only, the boot changer is playing up with all the water around it, so will probably remove it, going to have pull it out anyway to get my CD's out.

Finally got around to giving the cat giving a bit of tlc, gave it an oil change plus air and pollen filters over the weekend.

That down pipe is in a genius location isn't it, blocking socket access to the sump nut, care required when removing with a spanner.

Next on the hit list is gearbox oil, along with fitting new plugs and fuel filter.

Also took the time to install the Mercury grill which arrived from the US last week.

Well bad day today...... managed to crack the front splitter again today on a high kerb. Parked front end in and misjudged it due to keeping an eye on traffic and a motorcyclist. Another trip to the spray shop for me again............

Tinted rear lights , don't ask about the fu%&£ing drop link I wanted to fit though , the only 17mm nut is on the bottom replacement nut on new drop link , no 17mm nuts on original drop link, top or bottom nuts , also a warning to newbies about wheel nuts , 21mm american sized that are very easy prone to rounding off absolute crap so have a good wheel brace(which I didn't ) at hand , thanks guys...

Well I have now got my C1 leather seats fitted, along with C2 leather rear quarter panels and front door cards, put some heavy duty gas struts (SGS) on the rear hatch, ready for the new spoiler to go on, I am led to believe this will attract various comments when it gets fitted, so will wait and see how that goes.....will try and get some pics up soon of the changes, going to attempt the fitting of the short shift gear stick now I have been told the way to do it.
