What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Spent most of today stripping out the interior to get a couple of jobs sorted.

While the seats are out they are getting some treatment. Passenger seat had the lower loom replaced ie: the earlier type was replaced with the later type so now it all matches up. :)
Drivers seat is being re-padded, then they both get the leather conditioning treatment before being bolted back into place.. (y)

No chance mate your car gleems the McLean shine *

And according to the weather it's gonna chuck it down on Saturday too, I bloody hope not that would ruin a few people's day

Well, I've had my mk1 for 2 years or so and am finally getting round to doing her up. Today I put in the seat belt pads! Ooohh! Then on Tuesday its new discs, calipers and pads all round followed by a touch of hammerite red (unless anyone has a better idea?) I have a quote for a respray and have my eye on some 17" alloys. A quick engine tune to keep the edge and she will be done. Incidentally, does anyone have any recommendations for my little project. I'm a noob to the world of upgrading and uprating and know what I want but have no idea how to do it except throw money at garages!!!

I Finally dropped the L/H front subframe ready to split the gearbox. All supported and ready to go. I will probably wait for a mate though.

Only problem I found with hamerite is after a while it flakes off as it cant handle the heat, you could try their alloy prep primer first or the best stuff is the Folia Tec brake-caliper lacquer, it's a two pack paint formula and wont come off at all for a long time.

Looks great!

I managed to lever out my fried eggs without scratching the paintwork - then realised I'd forgotten to get orange bulbs, and couldn't be bothered to drive back into town.
I did change a brake light bulb though.

Managed to finish the interior too

I got a Meguires lens kit through the post recently, only really because it has the UV protectant after care fluid included

Lets hope it does the job o_O
Just keep going back to them tell you get the result you want, I must have done mine 5 or 6 times

Thanks Ginja. I'll look into that stuff. Currently miserable as the cougar is in the garage. Getting it back tomorrow though so all good and ready for a run down to Edinburgh on Thursday. :)
