What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

So it was noticed by a few members when I joined that the headlights were stained yellow and generally worse for wear. I have
Cougarbrg to thank for selling on his spare headlights which I proceeded to fit yesterday. I haven't been able to get many pics yet due to diminishing light after the fitting and I couldnt be bothered to move the Cougar off the drive today, but they work splendidly and make the car look even more fantastic

Here's how she looked before

Looks surprisingly like a Mazda MX-6 without her lights.

After taking weeks to find the time, i finally got my interior pillar trims swapped over for the CF ones i bought from Paul aka oldfordfran. I also found out why my new heated screen was dead on the passenger side. Some numpty forgot to plug the damn thing in on that side after it was fitted  I did take a couple of piccies but it was really too dark, so i'll try again tomorrow.

Plugs changed out today, I couldn't see a torque setting on the forum for the plugs, so have torqued mine to 20NM (15 FT LB) which is the setting for the plugs on the D which is also an ally engine.

Mike, Haynes quote 14Nm (10lbf ft) for torquing the spark plugs.

Finally fitted my refurb alloys, had them ages waiting for centre caps to be sorted.
Centre caps have vinyl logos courtesy of Al (Pid_16V).

Now have an old set of C1 alloys for disposal . . .

Fitted a new water pump and did away with the steel port plate

How many have done this with no ill effects?

Port plate? if you mean the cone then yeah its best gone as they have a nasty habit of coming adrift and eating through the pump housing

You changed your water pump on xmas day?!?!

Put in new head, side and number plate light bulbs - should keep me away from Mr Plod:LOL:
And changed my pollen filter over - I don't know what the old one had been filtering, but it didn't look like pollen:eek:

Found my grill is broken at the O/S headlamp clip and whoever took the scuttle panel off last time put it back on with wood screws:LOL:
I think she's been through the mill a bit:)
