What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Did you manage to reuse all the rear subframe and suspension bolts mate?

Yes, we did. The car came apart without a fight, even the caliper carrier bolts let go without protest (this is so much easier to do with the subframe on the deck), though they were replaced with some shiny-shiny from Mart.

I've done nothing to my Cougar today.

I had one of them 'sod it' moments though.

What I did was turn a five minute drive from the father-in-laws, into a 40 mile detour as I had V6 withdrawal symptoms.

No radio.
Just the engine to listen to.

After quite a few weeks of sanding and filling and sanding and filling and priming and wet and drying, I have finally taken my body kit, spoiler and No Limits grill to the paint-shop. All together with the new wing, my bonnet getting re-sprayed to get rid of all the stone chips and the body kit, it is going to cost me 500 quid.

Well I am getting the front and rear bumpers back today along with the No Limits grill. The guy only has a small paint shop and does not have enough room to do it all at once. Get the side skirts and spoiler tomorrow, then , next week he is doing the new wing and my bonnet. I'll finally get the Visteon scoop the same shade as the bonnet.

Looking forward to seeing this mate. Will you fit it yourself afterwards?

Yes, hopefully do it right.

Today I got a few things done. Made sure all the wiring around the amp was done properly, so bought ring connectors to tidy it up. Finally got some car mat clips. I also got two pairs of LED rings so I spliced a pair on to test them. They're white, despite how they appear on the image - and I'm very excited to fit them properly!

Well done fitting the rings, i know what sort of job it is. I must have done three or four sets over the years and i still have a spare set of C2 lights to get done yet. When i did the C1 lights though, i fitted all three rings to each light unit.

I've seen some snaps of that actually. I trawled the forum pretty intensely to see whether I liked the look! I absolutely did, though I wasn't sure about the indicator ring - so I'm leaving that for the time being.

A thought had occurred to me today. What if I put a ring in the taillight sidelight boob against the plastic? Perhaps LED rings would make decent replacements for bulbs? *chin stroke chin stroke*

Just a bit of polishing done before work still need more but pleased with the results so far
