What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Oil change for me today + a Ford KA 1.3 & a Ford Focus 1.6. So that is all the cars done for another year.
Just a bit of polishing done before work still need more but pleased with the results so far

Engine finished cleaned and some upgrades
Blimey that is clean! What do you use to wash it all? I have engine degreaser and that did nothing to get rid of some of the decade-old grime
Just engine cleaner and a brush then washed off before it dries just keep at it till its clean then tyre dressing wipe it off and spray with again just keep at it a bit at a time polish the metal and Ali pipe wire brush any castings a few weeks later and it starts to look clean lol
I tend to do that when I park it up

well was goin to do the st170 mk3 caliper conv today but it p**sed down...funny how that happens at the weekend when im off work....someones laughing at me arnt they..hopefully tommorow
Finally replaced that snapped handbrake cable. And yes, Mark - I did away with the centre heatshield (there was no way it was going back on anyway - half the studs sheared).
I also sorted out Jinxy's "It's a Rover, sir - they all do that" floppy gear linkages by poly-bushing the hell out of them with an aftermarket kit. What a difference.
I also managed to slash my arms and hands up pretty well (mainly on that heatshield) and brained myself twice on Jinxy's belly, so the sacrifices were made and the gods are appeased. All in all it was a good day.

I'm tired, but it's that good tired where you have really achieved something and properly earned your stripes for the day.
And T is no longer hunting for 3rd out of 2nd when quick-shifting, which is something she researched the hell out of and has been mithering at me to deal with for months.
I know she beat you and Paul up in Jinxy big time, but she was pulling her punches because her shifter was all over the place. I beg you not to get in her car now. Seriously.

To be honest I thoroughly enjoyed the ride . T seemed well in control and knew what her car was capable of...gives you a funny feeling of trust when someone can drive that good/fast..
Did some welding today on a future mod I'm doing ,hopefully we can get these results on your car matt.
