What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Parked it up off-road yesterday, feel really guilty abandoning it :( but no room for it on my drive now I have changed my car.
Having said that I am loving my new cat and the missus loves it too (y)

Finished up with this..

Quite pleased, colour is a bit off but never mind.

Looks more different in the pictures, seems to match the bonnet well, not far off the door, but the bumper looks yellow in comparison! Been in a friend's garage for 10 years, so has resisted sun fading. Definitely better than a bent one though! Managed to poke a full shovel of leaves and compost out of the scuttle too.

Fixed my cruise control.

The bodge I had in place which allowed me to use an auto cable had an obvious flaw - if the CC wasn't being used, normal throttle action caused the CC cable to flex and eventually shear.

I now have a permanent fix made of bicycle gear cable, the original plastic mount on the throttle body arm, and a crimp on the other side of it. Cost £2.49. Tested on the M1 and it works a charm - I'll get pictures up tomorrow evening.

Ian, have you got a photo of the bumper connection/wing?
I've got wings in my shed and i know they are C1 and C2 but which is which?

Spot the difference:

So for months I've been tinkering with the lights trying to get a sidelight & DRL combo with a new switch in the cabin.

Today, I think I finally finished it! I'll get some nicer photo's for Rana's thread tomorrow when I retrieve my charger from work.

Well not 'today' but last weekend I swapped out the 170hp for a nice ST200 block with MSDS headers :)

I'll get pics uploaded shortly :)

Two things:

1) I am so glad that the passion to work on these cars is still there. I accept that some of the old school might scoff at it,but I think it's wonderful.

2) Exactly what are those gauges measuring? Far right is clearly voltage, middle looks like it might be coolant temp. And the left one...?
