What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Gave her an oil change. 5w30 Ford-spec stuff. Also did Colin (Spaceychick's car).

Since the cars take 5.5-6 litres and oil tends to come in 4 or 5 litre packs, it's actually cheaper to buddy up with someone! Colin had one bottle, Tiger had the other, and then the third bottle was split between them. Then we took the remains of that third bottle (about 4 litres) and took half each for topping up.

I also did Jinxy's oil, though what came out looked remarkably similar to what went in. But it's a year old so had to be done.

Tiger also has a lovely C2 dash cover to be fitted some time soon. Much classier than the C1, I think.

Thank you Chris for doing oil and filter change.... he drove home VERY nice tonight, like real nice for some reason! must like his new juice :D

I also have VERY pretty pink and blue lights inside..... will try and get a wee picture up on here..... Thank you Paul...... You guys are just the dogs b*****s :D :D :D

A simple job. It's what we do.

Your engine really needed this - as expected. No biggie. I hope your dad is pleased though!

Today has brought, mk3 calipers in some horrifically bad red paint, so cleaned them up with a wire wheel and a drill...... Now awaiting on parts to rebuild them :)

Then paint them correctly :)

Fitted the Pipercross Viper induction kit I bought from Mike, then went for a drive to see what's what. First impressions are that it's quieter than the Racebits cone, but the crucial difference is that it clears the bonnet vent.

Fitted new offside driveshaft (£48 on ebay) today as the ABS lights were on because the reductor ring had gone MIA. Drove round the block after and the lights went off.

Well pleased.

Put it in for an early MOT... which it failed. :( Bottom ball joint on the n/s wishbone, a small bit of welding to the floor just behind the n/s front wheel and corrosion to the brake pipes around thr fuel tank. Nick's done the ball joint and welding but, when he rubbed the brake pipes back they just burst and wee-wee'd brake fluid all over the floor. I've had to leave the car with him and he's been kind enough to lend me his van to get back to Glasgow.

Cars : just when you think they're fine, they jump up and bite you in the wallet.

Sorry to hear that mate, but thank goodness the brake lines snapped under his test and not you driving the car ;-)
