What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

That's pretty awesome Ricky. But (and I feel a bit of an arse saying this so please feel free to tell me to do one!) is it possible to make the strobe run the other way? As it stands, it kind of looks like the left hand indicator is 'pointing' towards a right turn, I just think it would look more natural strobing out towards the wing.

Ah crap... I plugged it in then thought that... but then also I heard a whisper... 'noone will notice' guess its back off tomorrow haha

Ah dam!

Looking good Ricky but I agree with Rich and Al and I think you'll need to add a resistor to slow the flash rate down if your side repeater is anything to go by.

yeah this is the issue with these DRLs, by default the Cougar flashes too slowly for the amber light to make it all the way to the end, I'm guessing this is the only way to make it light up the entire tube

I didnt plug the indicator bulb in for the purpose of the video... with the bulb plugged in side repeater flashes okay but LED drl still same speed... which I kinda like...

Well enough for my 'I cant afford an audi but I like them' indicators

Changed 1 front drop link :)

The other side has an older one with different bolts, the lower one is stuck well, garage might have to do this side...

Car going in for a very small patch to be welded and new MOT on Wednesday. I guess my car survives another 12 months. The good news was nothing else flagged up at all which did surprise me given I have done nothing at all to it in 2 years.

Couldn't get the lower bolt off, need to decide if to take it to the garage or invest in an angle grinder.

On a more positive note I've removed the walnut interior and replaced with silver which I started spraying last week.

You own a Ford that is nearly two decades old. Buy an angle grinder. Invest in packs of grinding, cutting and sanding disks. Get sturdy eye protection.

It might sound like I'm taking the mick but I'm not. If you want to save yourself a fortune (and hours of your life) you will heed my words. Stuck bolt? You're replacing it anyway: grind it.

Lastly, I'm really stoked that you're making that car yours.

Cheers, love her to bits (y)

It's about time I bought an angle grinder. Shoulda got one years ago,
Instead of being such a big pansie about the whole thing (I mean even some strippers use them for gods sake)
Buying one tomorrow.

I'm really glad to hear that! I have a personal investment in that car. And Matt, Steve, Paul and I are the reason it was still on the road so you could own it. This means a great deal to me.

Buying one tomorrow.

Wait - before you do that. Do you need it to be cordless? If so, what power and endurance will you need?

We all have our preferences so you might want to think about what you need before splashing out.

Heathen! :)

Really glad its going well bud. I'm still shocked about the MOT, but it just goes to show as Chris says how well everyones done so far. I wouldn't have even attempted some of the things you've done without help. Nice one ;)
