Fitted octopus coolant pipe on ebony and road tested to Lincoln and back (60 miles)

Low coolant light on, think it must be switch

Check oil and coolant again when cooled down

She might be for sale shortly

Overfill it...slightly. Tiger is particularly bad for this, even at maximum. The switch is clearly submerged, (and I believe it works on conductance, not pressure...) so I'm not sure what her beef is. I keep her juuuust slightly over maximum and have no problems, even parked on a slope.

Alternatively just unplug it and short out the loom connector.

What does that mean mate? I guess pressure is the actual physical presence of the liquid?

So if it's done from conductance, all you're assuming is that the tip of the sensor is wet.

If it's done from pressure, you'd be assuming a specific volume of fluid at a static pressure in a known size of tank. I'm assuming it's not that because the pressure would vary depending whether the engine was hot or not. Boyle's Law.

Dashboard now fully reassembled with 3 led lamps fitted, the dimmer didn't have any effect with LED or Tungsten lamps, despite my stripping it apart and claening it. I stripped all the controls down to locate the illumination lamps. Tested them to prove they are working and wiped 18 years of heat smudge off 'em. On reassembly they seem brighter in the gloom of the garage.
Centre console removed and ready for strengthening exercise.
At the front, the crank oil seal now fitted, crank pulley drifted back on with assistance of a large socket, engine refilled with oil and test run. Wheel refitted, weight of car placed on ramp under the wheel and the crank pulley bolt given another whumpff prior to refitting the arch liner section.
Question is shall I pull the bumper moulding off. I know there will be some surface corrosion behind there (I've never had it off )
but know I'll be tempted to tweak other things while its off.

Had to do a double take at the 2nd picture looked like a retro CD at first look :)

Ive been thinking about snow foam for a while..how did it compare to the 'normal' stuff?

Thats just snow foam... no wash, no mitt just on and off... always use it for a quick spruce, would never wash without it

Done quite a bit of rotary wire brushing on the underside of the green machine today before it started raining. Discovered another hole in the front passenger side sill where I had previously had a little bit of welding done. The hol;e I had done around two years ago was about the size of a five pence piece and I think the garage did not cut out enough material, so, it has just spread. I have cut a section about 6 inches long by 2 inches wide and it seems to have got most of the weak metal away. Going to get my neighbour to weld it up for me hopefully. I am also after some clips for the fuel lines and brake lines at the rear of the chassis. I have had a look on catcar info, but, there are none of them shown. I guess I will have to look for a scrapper and see if I can get them off without breaking them.
